2017 Training Plan

The attached document contains our training program for 2017. We operate a structured training plan which is designed to cater for all abilities. Our aim is to provide a development pathway from beginner through to experienced competitor. This allows runners to progress from the RSG Pitreavie couch to 5k program to fully fledged Pitreavie AAC Endurance member. Our program contains a mix of sessions covering speed training, tempo running, endurance running and hills. All are designed to develop and improve performance across all distances from 5k up to Ultra. All sessions can be tailored to suit different abilities, development stages or race targets and, where relevant, we design our routes in such a way to provide short or long options. Feedback on our training program has been very positive and we have seen many of our members make significant progress over a range of distances. However, we are always open to new ideas and welcome input from all of our members with regards to the sessions that we run. If there are specific sessions that you would like to see incorporated in our program, if there are improvements that you think could be made to existing sessions or if there are new routes that you think would work well, then please let us know via This email address is being protected from spambots.
