The second Pitreavie Youth Night was held last Friday (16th) in the clubhouse and again, was another success with athletes from various groups turning up. The event is a chance to come together for a relaxed and informal couple of hours away from the track and is a great opportunity for athletes to get to know athletes from across the various training groups. It's perhaps also an opportunity for newer parents to have a cuppa in the cafe and ask the million questions you probably want to ask about the club and the season ahead. At the moment it's a few seasoned Mum's taking the opportunity to have a catch up and blether (and I must say Michelle makes the BEST hot chocolate!).
The event is poplular with our younger athletes (from U11 up to U20) and everyone (so far!) is very well behaved :-)
We have our own pool table and table tennis table and thanks to Fife Resource Base we can borrow equipment each month to keep things fun. This month we borrowed giant Jenga and Connect 4.
As always, Fifa is always popular with the boys...
The plan is to hold this event on the first Friday of the month, starting on Friday 6th March. So please don't be shy, most athletes just turn up on their own and hang about with whoever turns up. Cost is £2.50 (payable on the night) and it runs from 7-9pm. Athletes are signed in and out and therefore parents are welcome to either drop them off or stay and have a cuppa upstairs.
