EXCELLENT performances by a number of Pitreavie athletes helped Kingdom Athletic maintain third place in the Northern Premier Division of the Youth Development League.
Once again, as in the previous two matches, it was the Scottish teams who dominated, with Glasgow and Edinburgh taking the top two places in the meeting at the John Charles Sports Centre in Leeds.
Kingdom - which also features athletes from Fife AC and Dundee Hawkill - finished third, ahead of English trio Gateshead, Leeds City and City of York.
Pitreavie's under-20 men enjoyed a number of successes.
Taylor Roy won the 110m hurdles in a new personal best of 15.09s and also took first place in the hammer 'B' string with a throw of 15.47m, and second place in the 100m 'B' race in 11.47s.
Corey Smith was another double winner. He was first in the 400m hurdles 'B' race in a new personal best of 64.03s and won the 2000m steeplechase 'B' race in 7:25.91.
Tyler White was victorious in the 2000m steeplechase in 6:26.86, while Adam Johnston won the 'B' string discus with a throw of 18.98m and took third place in the long jump with 6.23m.
Craig Moriarty won the pole vault with a season's best 3.95m and was second in the 'B' string long jump with 6.19m.
Cameron Sinclair was second in both the 200m 'B' race in 23.40s and the 400m 'B' race in a new personal best of 52.33s.
For the women in the same age group, Lisa O'Neill won the javelin with a throw of 37.78m.
Nicole De Pear was second in the 400m 'B' race in 64.56s, and was also runner-up in the 'B' string long jump with 3.25m.
Sister Kerrin De Pear was second in three events - the 100m hurdles 'B' race in 21.89s, the 400m hurdles in 73.80s and the 'B' string high jump with a clearance of 1.35m.
Ciara Bowman was second in the 800m 'B' race in 2:42.53.
At under-17 level, Dylan Thomson was a double winner. He cleared 3.80m to take the pole vault and then cleared 1.60m for first place in the 'B' string high jump.
Alex Johnston won the 800m 'B' race in 2:07.62, and was second in the 1500m 'B' race in 4:35.05, while Ryan Woods won the high jump with a clearance of 1.75m.
Ben Grant took second place in the 400m in 52.19s, Lee Turner was runner-up in the 110m hurdles 'B' race in 23.25s and William Cain was second in the 400m hurdles 'B' race in 69.59s.
James Adam was runner-up in both the 800m in 2:07.06 and the 1500m steeplechase 'B' race in 5:03.78.
For the women, Rachel Thomson, Zoe Nicholson and Alana Dunsmore were all winners.
Rachel won the 80m hurdles 'B' race in 13.24s and was also third in the 'B' string discus with 17.72m; Zoe won the 1500m steeplechase 'B' race in 6:03.35 and was third in the 1500m 'B' race in 5:13.40; and Alana won the pole vault for the third match in a row with a clearance of 3.21m.
Iona Crawford took second place in the 300m 'B' race in 45.01s and was third in the 300m hurdles in 49.33s, while Emma Rae was second in the hammer with 49.96m and third in the shot putt with a new personal best of 9.81m.
Sophie Nethery was second in the 'B' string hammer with a throw of 17.02m, Eve Huxley was third in the 100m 'B' race in 12.96s and Lucy McRoberts was third in the 300m in 43.49s.
In the relays, Kingdom's best performers were the men's under-17 4x400m team - featuring Piteavie's Ben Grant and James Adam - who won in impressive style in 3:39.41.
The women's under-17 4x100m quartet - including Eve Huxley - were second in their race in 51.81s, and the all-Pitreavie under-17 4x300m team of Iona Crawford, Hannah Dow, Lucy McRoberts and Sophie Nethery were also runners-up in 3:02.61.
The under-20 women's 4x400m quartet, including Nicole De Pear, were third in 4:10.76; the under-20 men's 4x400m quartet, including Kyle Henderson and Taylor Roy, were also third in 3:39.07.
