Pitreavie's Eilidh Doyle(Child) has been ranked as the second best ever British Women's 400m Hurdler - second only to 1992 Olympic Champion , Sally Gunnell.
The rankings have been produced by well respected UK Athletics statistician , Mel Watman , to identify Britain's greatest ever athletes in all the T&F events and published in Athetlics Weeky to celebrate their 70th anniversary.
The lists are based on athlete's performances at Olympic , World , European , Commonwealth & UK championships as well as World rankings and UK records.
Eilidh's record: 1st European Championshi[ps 2014 , 2nd Commonwealth Games 2010 & 2014 , World Ranked 2nd 2014 , AAA Champion 2014 & 2015

PS Also of interest is that 8th in the list is Liz Sutherland - wife of Edinburgh Evening News Athletics journalist , Sandy Sutherland - who was UK record holder in 1977.
