Team Managers required - response needed by 20/1/2016
The club would like to participate in the Indoor SUPERteam event for U12's on 7/2/2016 and the National Indoor 200m relays for U13/15/17/U20 and Senior on13/2/2016. Both events will be at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. In order to enter we need to identify volunteers to Team Manage these events. If your child would like to take part please consider volunteering. For the relays we are looking for a Team Manager for each age group - eg U13G, U13B, and for SUPERteams ideally 1 or 2 people to manage the teams in this event. This should make the role quite manageable, we will give you all of the necessary support that you need. We took this approach in the summer for the National Relay champs and it worked really well, maybe some of the same people may want to volunteer again!
For those who are unfamiliar with Superteams the team consists of four boys or four girls with each athlete competing in 60, long jump, shot putt and 4x200m. Points are allocated to each athlete's performance and totted up. To be able to enter your SUPERteams athletes must be born between 1st Sept 2004 & 31st Aug 2006. Athletes must also be members of scottishathletics and therefore be aged 9 or over. Note: this does overlap with U13's.

If you ask any of the older athletes I am sure many of them will tell you that SUPERteams was their favourite event!
