PITREAVIE athlete Lewis Dow picked up a silver medal at the National Young Athletes Road Race Championships in Greenock on Saturday.
Lewis, competing in the boys' under-13 race over a 2.5k course, remained in contention for until the closing stages, eventually finishing in 8 minutes 11 seconds, just eight seconds behind the winner Alasdair McMonagle (Cumbernauld).
Two Pitreavie athletes took part in the girls' under-13 race, also over 2.5k, with Skye Marshall finishing 20th in 9:41, and Ailsa Barr 29th in 10:01.
In the under-17 boys' race over 4.9k, Pitreavie's Tyler White completed the course in 16:31 for 17th place.
