Cross Country Time!

Published on Tuesday, 17 September 2013 08:19

A great way to enhance your Winter training is taking part in the cross country season – all Pitreavie athletes welcome. The first event is the East District Relay Championships on 13th October in Livingston. The format of each young athletes team is one U13, one U15 and one U17 each running a 2.5K leg. The junior/senior and masters teams consist of 3 athletes for ladies and 4 for men. This event requires names to be entered therefore if you are interested in taking part please let Sandra Davie or Kenny McAlpine know by 26th September and we will try to enter as many teams as possible. The next cross country event is the first East league meeting (one of three) on Saturday 19th October at Stirling University – no pre-entry required – all you have to be is a Pitreavie member (and wear a Pitreavie vest), have a Scottish Athletics registration, turn up and run (make sure we give you a number for your vest though J). We would love to have a large turnout as we did have some great team successes in most age groups last year.

If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to ask. We have updated the calendar on the website with the Cross Country events  this season so keep a watch out for them.

There is also information available for the East District Cross Country.
