Volunteers are key to the continuing success of Pitreavie AAC. To support the range of opportunities the Club provides, we need more people to assist with the many 'behind-the-scenes' tasks involved.

In 2015, the Club underwent a restructuring, moving away from the traditional 'committee does it all' approach to a Sub Group-based model. The reasoning behind this was simple - there is too much work for a handful of people to do but if ten people do a few hours each, tasks get done and nobody has been overworked in the process. It's a simple principle but relies, crucially, on enough people being involved.

Not all of the roles are large: could you help out with organising an event? Do a shift in the café? Write an article for the website? Tidy out a cupboard in the clubhouse? Or perhaps you can bring professional expertise - for example if you are an architect, a joiner or a printing specialist, your skills and a few hours of your time could be just what's needed.

There are many things that need volunteer input and a lot of the time you will be working together with people like yourself – people who see the benefits their children gain from being members of Pitreavie AAC or, if you're an older athlete, which you yourself have had from many years of free coaching by our dedicated team of coaches!

The Club website Home page now features a section called 'Volunteering Opportunities' which lists specific volunteer roles where help is needed. Please have a look and see how you can get involved.
