Where can I find league information?

http://www.eastleague.co.uk/

What is this league?

This is a cross-country league for all age groups and has over 40 competing clubs. The league records results for both individual age groups and for clubs as a whole.

Who competes in this league?

U11 up to Senior, both male and female.

What are the different matches?

There are three fixtures at different locations; however the same distance is covered.

How is the team selected?

The three Eat District league fixtures are open to all athletes and there is no pre-entry or selection, you just turn up on the day. The range of abilities is wide - do not be afraid of being slower than everyone else! All Pitreavie runners wear No.7 and the first 3 juniors, or 6 for the seniors, to finish count for the club score.
Races start in order of age groups with the youngest off first. The races for the juniors are quite short, expect an U11 race to take about 8 minutes.

Your finishing place determines the club score. For example if the first three under 11 boys finished 1st, 10th and 15th the overall score would be 26. The team with the lowest score wins.

What is the race distance?

The following distances are approximate and vary slightly per venue:

U11 girls & boys 1.5K

U13 girls & boys  2.5K

U15 girls & boys and U17 women 3.5K

U17 men and junior/senior/vet women 6.4K

Junior/senior/vet men 10K
