Pitreavie athletes had a strong showing at the recent Scottish Schools Indoor Track and Field event in the Emirates Stadium. The extensive medal haul included 2 golds, 4 silvers and 1 bronze. Aislynn Crichton (over 16), Inverkeithing High School, took 1st place in the girls 300m in a storming 40.81s, with Rebecca Grieve (U16), Edinburgh Academy, taking gold also with 40.81s in the girls 300m. In the U16 girls 200m Rebecca once again medalled in 2nd place with 25.42s, with Sophie Wallwork, Strathallan School, coming 3rd beside her in 26.02s. Sophie went on to secure a silver in the U16 60m with 8.09s. Holly Gordon (U16), Inverkeithing High School, and Sam Turnbull (over 16), St. Columba’s, both came 2nd in their High Jump events, with Holly jumping 1.55m and Sam 1.85m.
