33% of the world’s population lives in the Commonwealth and 5O% of those are under 25. 33Fifty is a leadership programme for young Commonwealth leaders aged 18 – 25.
The 33Fifty Youth Leadership Programme is one of Scottish Governments Legacy 2014 programmes and a great opportunity for young people aged between 18 to 25. It will run for 4 days just before the games in July, with 2 days at Glasgow University and 2 at Edinburgh University.
The programme is looking for 100 18 – 25 year olds from across the Commonwealth of which 1/3 will be Scottish and a further 1/3 will be from across the Commonwealth currently studying or living in the UK.
33FIFTY will provide young people with:
- Leadership skills to help you in your studies, careers and civic life
- The ability to make a difference to your community, the Commonwealth and wider world
- Access to global networks and an alumni community of engaged Commonwealth citizens
- Cultural Intelligence – the ability to thrive in multiple cultures.
