Following on from the massive success of the Family Fun Day last year we have decided to make this an annual event. This year we are also having a BBQ plus watching the final night of the Commomwealth Games Athletics on a big screen in the gym where hopefully we will be watching Eilidh in the 4x400m final.
Entry forms will be handed out to all groups plus I will get this added to the website soon.
Training groups are being invited to set up and run a stall during the event and so far we have the following:
- Paul Allan - Tombola
- John McDonald - Smoothies
- Eamon Fitzgerald - Hook a Duck
- John Wands - Cake & Candy
- Dave Laing - Chocolate tombola
Others are deliberating on what to set up :-)
The format of the day is:
2:30pm - Event starts, stalls set up and bouncy castle ready to be bounced on!
3pm - Handicap mile open to all Pitreavie Athletes with a £25 cash prize plus Fancy Dress Dash for younger ones (including friends and family)
3:30pm - Family Pentathlon (hugely popular last year, especially with parents!), prizes for all ages groups
5:30pm - BBQ (format to be confirmed but likely burgers, sausages etc on sale and you can bring along your own salad etc)
6:30pm - Live Commonwealth Games Action on a big screen. Sit down and relax whilst the kids run about (maybe even with a glass of wine?)
Cost is £3 if you are taking part and £1.50 if you are tagging along (family & friends welcome)
