Impressive medal haul at National Age Group Championships

PITREAVIE AAC has seven new Scottish champions following the weekend's National Age Group Championships at Grangemouth at the weekend.
And four of them set new championship records on the way to their gold medals.
Jack Lawrie ended the weekend as a double winner in the under-20 age group, clinching the 400m hurdles title in a new championship best of 53.24s and the 110m hurdles title in 14.68s.
He just missed out on triple gold, having to settle for silver in the 400m in 50.14s.
Also in the under-20s, there were gold medals for pole vaulter Kirsten Cronie, who cleared 2.90m, and Amy Gullen in the high jump, with a clearance of 1.65m.
Lewis McGuire picked up silver in the high jump, finishing just 5cm behind the champion on 1.95m, and brother Ben also collected a silver medal, leaping 6.84m in the long jump - just 3cm behind the winner.
Ben Potrykus took the bronze medal in the 800m with a time of 2:00.55.
In the under-17s, Lisa O'Neill continued her excellent season, setting a new championship record of 41.78m to win the javelin.
Taylor Roy was also a gold medal winner, clinching the 110m hurdles title in 13.78s.
Pole vaulters Alana Dunsmore and Craig Moriarty picked up silver medals, clearing 2.70m and 3.90m respectively, while there were bronze medals for Tyler White, who clocked 4:44.67 in the 1500m steeplechase, and Ben Grant, who finished the 800m in 1:59.63.
Pitreavie had only one medal winner in the under-15 age group, with Lucy McRoberts picking up the silver in the 300m in a new personal best of 42.87s.
At under-13 level, there was success for 1500m runners Sarah Coutts and Lewis Dow.
Both set new championship records to clinch their gold medals - Sarah's winning time being 4:55.22 and Lewis crossing the line in 4:35.47, an impressive nine seconds quicker than the previous record.
Lewis Blair picked up silver in the 800m in a time of 2:14.84, and there were further silver medals for Euan Johnston, who clocked 12.67s in the 75m hurdles, and Jennifer Brydon who cleared 1.35m in the high jump.
