What a fantastic day at the 2^nd East District League meeting in sunny Alloa. In total, we had 49 athletes competing and a summary of the highlights are below:

In the U11 age group it was great to see ‘new to cross country’ athletes returning for another try and we had an amazing 11 girls taking part in the first race. Sarah Coutts and Jenny Gillanders provided an exciting finish, with Sarah just pipping Jenny on the line to take 1^st place by 2 seconds. Jennifer Bryon finishing well in 8^th with Skye Marshall (17^th), Katie Gostick (18th), Emily Kerr (22^nd), Emma Tucker (24^th), Kerry McNulty (32nd), Lynn Harvey (41^st), Abby Chisholm (42nd ), and Isla Booth (45^th). Pitreavie team maintained 1^st position with a very hard to beat 49 point lead over Edinburgh AC. Well done girls!

A great turnout for the U11 boys this time with 7 running. The results were a fantastic 3^rd for Lewis Blair, 7^th Euan Johnston , 17^th Campbell Dowie,  20^th Conor Gourley,  21^st Ben Johnston, 22nd Gregor McPherson  and 58^th Stuart Farmer. Well done boys!

In the U13’s once again a great entry for both, girls (6) and boys (7). Zoe Nicolson was first home for Pitreave in a fantastic 5^th position with Jemma Jamieson 28th, Ailsa Marsh 43rd, Tegan Gostick 43^rd and Kym McAlpine 51^st. The girls team are sitting 4^th overall.

The U13 boys had also great runs with Alex Johnston 15th, Arran Robertson 41st, Josh Spence 48^th, Liam Gillan 55^th, Conor Allan 56^th and Billy Doyle 64th…great effort boys!

The U15/U17 girls once again ran strongly with Leah Davie 4^th, Emily Nicolson 8^th, Sophie Nethery 21st and Hannah Gillan 58^th . The girls are sitting in a well deserved 2^nd position overall, 7 points behind Edinburgh.

The U15 boys team also had a great race, consisting of Tyler White (12^th) James Adam (16^th),  Dylan Thomson (22^st), and Ben Grant (34^th) – the boys team sitting well placed in 4^th team position.

Congratulations to Rebecca Burns who made a return to cross country running after a few years away with an impressive 5^th  position out of 84 runners in the junior/senior women’s race.

The under 17 men’s team had a good run with Corey Smith 18^th , Evan Ross 19^th and Cameron Sinclair 42^nd , improving the team’s position from 5^th to 4^th overall.

Finally in the men’s race we had 4 runners. First home was Ben Potrykus finishing  a fantastic 9^th overall and 1^st Junior followed by Neil McLaclan (128^th), Colin Lamont (160^th ) and Jack Lawrie (172nd) out of 226 runners.
